Effective September 29, 2026 · Last updated September 30, 2026
1. Definitions
These Terms govern services under the name Cardiplier Exchange (‘Cardiplier,’ ‘we,’ ‘us,’ or ‘our’). A CEX ID identifies a submission, not a login credential. ‘Property’ means the physical cards and other accepted items; ‘processing’ means the specific service described in an approved quote.
2. Eligibility
Accounts and submission services are for adults at least 18 years old. An authorized parent or guardian may use their own account to submit a minor’s property.
3. Account obligations
Provide accurate contact information, protect your password and MFA method, and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized account access. You remain responsible for instructions given through your authenticated account, subject to applicable law and our review of reported misuse.
4. Electronic communications and acceptance
You may agree to terms, approve quotes, and direct disposition electronically. We retain relevant versions, account identity, timestamps, and scope or amount snapshots. Keep your contact details current so we can send service notices.
5. Ownership and authority
You represent that you own submitted property or have authority from its owner to ship it, request work, and give later instructions. Processing-service property remains yours until an expressly documented sale, relinquishment, or other authorized transfer.
6. Submission information
Counts, descriptions, estimated values, lists, and photographs supplied before receipt are your information and are not proof of the exact physical contents received. Do not knowingly misdescribe a shipment.
7. Acceptance before shipment
A submission request and CEX number do not authorize shipment. Wait for acceptance, affirmatively accept the versioned Shipping & Custody Agreement, and follow shipment instructions for that CEX. We may decline a request before shipment for capacity or service fit.
8. Shipping responsibility
Unless your specific instructions say otherwise, arrange and pay for inbound shipping, secure the package, use tracking, and retain your receipt and packing evidence. Consider carrier protection appropriate to shipment value; we make no representation of insurance supplied by Cardiplier.
9. Carrier risk
The carrier controls a package in transit. Carrier delivery scans, tracking, and weight are relevant evidence but do not alone prove every item inside a sealed package. Responsibility for a particular loss or error depends on the facts, agreed service, and applicable law.
10. Local Drop-Off and Pickup
Local Drop-Off is offered only when an appropriate location is configured and Staff confirms an appointment. Local Pickup is a request for qualifying collections, subject to location, capacity, and Staff approval; selection does not guarantee service or free pickup. Do not arrive at a drop-off location or expect pickup until the authenticated CEX portal shows a confirmed appointment. We provide approved appointment and location instructions privately.
11. Local custody handoff
For an approved local Drop-Off or Pickup, Cardiplier accepts custody when authorized Staff accepts and records the handoff, including the date, method, available container details, and any noted exterior condition. A request, appointment, or customer-provided inventory by itself does not establish actual receipt. A customer receipt appears in the authenticated portal after recorded handoff. Ownership remains with the customer unless separately and explicitly transferred.
12. Package preparation
Pack cards against shifting, moisture, and ordinary transit damage. Identify multiple boxes with your CEX instructions. Do not include unrelated valuables or unsafe items. Let us know in advance when existing binders, sleeves, or arrangement need special handling.
13. Intake and chain of custody
We accept custody of property actually received and documented through intake. Staff may record carrier, tracking, delivery and receipt times, unopened weight, exterior and seal condition, containers, observed games and volume, exceptions, and staff identity. When reasonably practical, we document material damage or apparent tampering before opening.
14. Intake documentation
Where practical, staff may photograph or film package condition, seals, labels, opening, and discovered contents. Operational media supports intake, security, discrepancy review, and fraud prevention; it gives no general advertising or publicity license.
15. Intake evidence and records
Intake may include photographs, video, label, opening, and contents discovered. Records support security, operations, discrepancy review, fraud prevention, and legal or compliance needs. Our record may be corrected when later review or credible evidence shows an intake error; it is not legally conclusive.
16. Shipment discrepancies
Review your intake notice and contact us promptly if it differs from what you believe you shipped, within seven calendar days where reasonably possible. Include your CEX ID and preserve packaging and other evidence. We review credible evidence from both sides. This request does not waive non-waivable rights or excuse our documented errors or unlawful conduct.
17. Scope of services
We perform only the accepted scope and later approved changes. Intake alone is not full processing, authentication, grading, appraisal, a complete card-by-card catalog, or guaranteed market valuation unless explicitly included.
18. Value Sift limitations
Value Sift is a threshold-driven review under the accepted scope. It does not promise identification or cataloging of every below-floor card or a particular sale value.
19. Full Collection limitations
The approved scope may include a catalog, manifest, and collection map. Identical printing, language, and finish can be grouped by quantity. Condition remains NOT REVIEWED unless detailed assessment is specifically quoted and approved.
20. Premier limitations
Seller-Ready Premier may prepare approved inventory and exports for later activity. It does not guarantee marketplace acceptance, listing, sale, timing, or price.
21. Direct Bulk Buylist
An initial estimate is indicative, and any final offer follows verification of eligible cards. You may decline and request return. Cardiplier does not acquire ownership until you affirmatively accept the final verified offer for identified property. Bulk Buylist payouts are distinct from customer processing payments.
22. Reference market values
Market references are informational snapshots. They are not guaranteed sale prices, appraisals, insurance or tax valuations, or financial advice, and can change after the reference timestamp.
23. Condition limitations
Condition observations depend on the approved review depth and may differ from third-party assessments. A catalog entry marked NOT REVIEWED has no detailed condition conclusion.
24. Authentication limitations
We do not guarantee authentication or grading unless a separately approved service explicitly includes it. Identification and visual review do not certify authenticity.
25. Counterfeit, altered, or unsupported material
We may pause and discuss next steps if material appears counterfeit, altered, unsupported, unsafe, or inconsistent with the accepted scope. We do not promise to value or process it; ownership and applicable legal duties remain relevant.
26. Quote versions and expiration
Each final quote identifies its CEX, service, scope, amount, and version. An expired or materially changed quote needs renewed review and affirmative approval. A prior approval does not authorize a revised scope or price.
27. Quotes and expiration
The final scope and processing price follow intake and inspection. A quote may expire seven calendar days after presentation unless it states another period. Expiration requires a new quote or reconfirmation, not an undisclosed charge.
28. Scope changes
Material changes to work or a materially higher price require a new explanation and affirmative approval before the added work. A posted change to these Terms alone does not authorize new work.
29. Customer approval
Approval records the displayed CEX, scope, quote version, amount, agreement version, account, and time. It does not itself start paid processing; successful payment confirmation is also required.
30. Payment obligations
One-time processing charges reflect the final approved quote. Checkout shows the exact amount before payment. We do not add a processing surcharge through these Terms. Paid processing begins only after an authoritative payment confirmation; a browser redirect is not confirmation.
31. Payment failure
An abandoned, expired, unsuccessful, or pending Checkout does not prove payment. We will not start paid processing until a confirmed provider event records successful payment. An eligible customer may retry the still-current approved quote without creating a second debt.
32. Payment processing provider
Stripe hosts Checkout and processes payment information under its terms and privacy practices. Cardiplier stores transaction identifiers, status, amounts, and relevant receipts or references, not raw card numbers. Payment methods offered may vary; no recurring billing is authorized here.
33. Refunds
Before work begins, unused paid processing may be refundable where applicable. After work begins, a customer may be responsible for completed work, work materially underway, and specifically disclosed nonrecoverable materials or costs. We do not charge for separable work never performed. If we cancel work we cannot perform, we refund the applicable unperformed paid portion. Refunds normally return by the original method where supported; timing depends on the provider and bank.
34. Chargebacks and payment disputes
You retain lawful rights to dispute a payment. Contact us with your CEX ID so we can review an issue. We may retain and provide relevant quote, approval, custody, payment, intake, communication, and refund records in a legitimate dispute; we do not automatically contest every dispute.
35. Work already performed
A cancellation does not erase fairly disclosed charges for work already completed, materially underway, or separately disclosed nonrecoverable costs, subject to applicable law and the particular scope. We will explain the basis of any retained amount.
36. Return shipping
Return shipping is generally your responsibility unless included in the approved service or required because of a Cardiplier error or law. We disclose applicable return costs before charging them and do not impose an invented restocking or payment penalty.
37. Verified return address
We may require appropriate account verification for a return-address change or other sensitive shipping instruction to protect your property. Contact us if you cannot access your usual account.
38. Disposition instructions
Return, sale inquiry, buyer interest, and downstream service requests are separate choices. We follow documented instructions for the specific property; silence is not consent to sale or transfer.
39. Partial acquisition
An offer covering only identified cards transfers only those cards after affirmative acceptance. Other property remains yours, subject to documented return or disposition instructions.
40. Sale or transfer of ownership
Ownership transfers only after an affirmative, documented acceptance of a verified Bulk Buylist or other purchase offer or other expressly authorized transfer for identified property. An inquiry or indicative estimate does not transfer it.
41. Relinquishment
Relinquishment requires a separate unchecked, explicit ownership-transfer confirmation for selected property. Once we act on an authorized transfer, reversal may not be possible. No silence-based transfer occurs.
42. Unresponsive customers
If we cannot obtain necessary instructions, we may pause work, use reasonable attempts to reach you, and preserve records. We do not treat a fixed period of silence as consent to sale, relinquishment, or additional charges.
43. Unclaimed property
Unclaimed property is handled under applicable law and reasonable notice procedures. These Terms do not create an automatic ownership transfer or override mandatory procedures.
44. Unsafe or prohibited material
Do not intentionally send cash, identity documents, payment cards, jewelry, weapons, illegal material, hazardous substances, biological contaminants, or unrelated valuables. We may isolate or refuse unsafe material and discuss safe next steps consistently with law; this is no blanket right to destroy property.
45. Intake media
Our operational package photographs and videos are private service records and do not confer public promotional rights. Access may be limited for security, privacy, and relevant legal obligations.
46. Customer-uploaded content
You grant a limited license to use submitted images, descriptions, and data to review, document, secure, process, support, and deliver the requested service. Public advertising or publicity use requires separate permission. Do not upload content you lack authority to share.
47. Privacy and security
See our Privacy Policy for handling of account, payment, shipping, intake, and dispute records. We use private access controls for customer material and may retain evidence needed for service and lawful obligations. No system is absolutely secure.
48. Third-party services
Carriers, hosting, storage, communications, Stripe, or approved downstream providers may be involved as needed. Their own terms can apply to their services. A later marketplace, grading, or fulfillment service requires separate scope where applicable.
49. Buyer Network limitations
Expressing interest in a private Buyer Network is not a sale, listing, buyer commitment, or guaranteed offer. No automatic transfer follows from expressing interest.
50. Taxes
Taxes on services and any customer obligations depend on applicable law and confirmed configuration. We do not claim a blanket exemption or taxability, and reference market data is not tax advice. Checkout will show any legally configured tax before payment.
51. Intellectual property and trademarks
Cardiplier materials and branding belong to their respective owners. Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, and related names are marks of their owners; those owners do not sponsor or endorse Cardiplier.
52. Service availability and changes
We may prospectively change available services or pause operations for capacity, safety, or technical reasons. Changes to an already approved scope or price require appropriate customer approval.
53. Disclaimers
Results reflect the agreed scope and information available at the time. We do not guarantee a particular market value, sale, processing outcome, or third-party assessment. Applicable law controls any warranties or remedies that cannot be excluded.
54. Limitation of liability
Responsibility for custody, loss, damage, errors, or delay depends on documented facts, the agreed service, and applicable law. These Terms do not impose a blanket dollar cap, blanket exclusion of indirect claims, or immunity for our documented errors or unlawful conduct.
55. Non-waivable rights
Nothing in these Terms removes consumer rights, chargeback rights, or remedies that applicable law makes non-waivable. If a term cannot lawfully apply, the remaining terms continue to the extent permitted.
56. Policy updates and notices
A material change to an already approved shipment agreement or quote requires a new applicable version and customer action where required. Updated public policies state their effective date; service notices may be sent to the email on your account.
57. Governing law
North Carolina law governs to the extent permitted, without displacing mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. These Terms contain no mandatory arbitration or class-action waiver.
58. Contact
For questions or a CEX-related dispute, use /contact and choose the appropriate category, including Existing Submission, Privacy, Security, or Legal. Include your CEX ID where relevant.
